Atebubu Traditional Area visits contractors working on the Atebubu Astroturf project.

On Tuesday, June 24, the Atebubu Traditional Area, under the leadership of HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah, paid a visit to the contractors working on the Atebubu Astroturf project. The purpose of the visit was to show support and encouragement to the workers involved in the project.

Representing Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah, Ohempon Benkumhene Oheneba Owusu Afriyie, expressed the council’s appreciation for the hard work being put into the project. As a gesture of support, he donated some drinks to the workers on behalf of the Traditional Council.

The contractor and workers were grateful for the visit and the gifts received. They assured the Traditional Council that the project would be completed to a high standard of quality. Additionally, they promised to reinstall all fallen and damaged floodlights and equipment to ensure the project’s success.

Atebubu Astroturf project was initiated by Hon Kofi Amoakohene, former MP and Minister for Atebubu-Amantin Constituency and Bono-East Region respectively, about five years ago. After the MP lost seat to Hon Sanja Nanja in 2020, the project was left abandoned until recent developments.

The Atebubu astroturf project is a significant development for the community and it is important that all stakeholders work together to ensure its successful completion. With the support of the new contractor and the commitment of the community, the astroturf will soon be a reality, providing a valuable resource for the youth and contributing to the overall development of the area.
