Atebubu-born, Doris Boaduwaa wins Female Footballer of the Year at GFA.

On Sunday, Doris Boaduwaa, the talented forward for Hapoel Jerusalem Fem, made history by winning the Female Footballer of the Year award at the prestigious Ghana Football Awards 2025. This achievement is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent on the football field.

Boaduwaa’s journey to success began in Atebubu, where she first started playing football. She later joined Hasaacas Ladies FC, a top-tier team in the Ghana Women’s Premier League, before making the move to Hapoel Jerusalem Fem in the Israeli Women’s Premier League.

Throughout the 2024-25 season, Boaduwaa showcased her skills as a striker, scoring an impressive eighteen(18) goals and proving herself to be a valuable asset to her team. Her performance on the field did not go unnoticed, as she caught the attention of fans, coaches, and fellow players alike.
