HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah pays a Courtesy Call on Former President & Flagbearer of NDC John Mahama

HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah and Nananom of Atebubu traditional Area paid a courtesy call on Former President and flag bearer of the NDC, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, at his office in Cantonments, Accra, on Thursday July 25, 2024.
The visit forms part of Ohempon’s drive to officially introduce himself as the new Omanhene of Atebubu to national leaders.


Ohempon was accompanied by Nana Kwabena Kyere (Adontenhene), Nana Owusu Sakofi (Nifahene), Nana Baffour Gyan (Akwamuhene), Nana Appiah Gyan (Kyeame), and Nana Afia Dwete Sikafuturo (Nsumankwaahemaa), all of the Atebubu Traditional Area.
With the Former President were the NDC Vice Presidential Nominee, Prof. Naana Opoku Agyeman, and Julius Debrah, former Chief of Staff.

Ohempon used the occassion to thank and commend Former President Mahama for embarking on the contruction of a 40-bed maternity block for Atebubu while in opposition. He further encouraged the former president to continue to pursue interests that propel Ghana forward, citing that such endeavours are in line with the seven pillars that he, as Omanhene, has instituted for the development of Atebubu.
H.E John Mahama thanked Ohempon for the visit and assured him of his full support for the development of Atebubu and Ghana as a whole. He also expressed his gratitude to Ohempon for leading the restoration of the cordiality between the Atebubu Traditional Council and the NDC as a party.
“I am grateful for this visit. My party is ready to partner with Nananom for the development of Ghana. Let’s all work towards a peaceful and united Ghana”, said the Former President.
