Ohempon pledges full support to newly appointed MCE, Hon Ayarba Thomas.

On July 24, 2025, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atebubu-Amantin Municipality, Hon Ayarba Thomas, paid a visit to Atebubumanwura HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah at Ohempon’s premises. This meeting marked the first encounter between Hon Ayarba Thomas and Atebubumanwura since the MCE’s appointment.
Accompanying Hon Ayarba Thomas to Ohempon’s premises were members of the municipal assembly directorate and some NDC Constituency Executives. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Atebubumanwura and the Nananom of Atebubu Traditional Council, who assured them of their support.


During his speech, Hon Ayarba Thomas pledged to implement developmental projects in areas such as sanitation, education, portable water, and security during his tenure. He acknowledged the ongoing projects initiated by the Atebubu Traditional Council and expressed his gratitude for having traditional authorities who are committed to the development of their people. He promised to collaborate closely with the traditional council to advance the development of Atebubu.
In his address, Atebubumanwura HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah expressed his disappointment over a press conference organized by the NDC Constituency chairman and executive prior to the appointment of MMDCEs in Ghana. He highlighted that the traditional council was falsely accused of not supporting the appointment of Hon Ayarba Thomas by the President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. Ohempon emphasized the importance of being mindful of one’s words as a leader to avoid future regrets.
Ohempon reassured the delegation that his doors are always open for anything related to the development of Atebubu and that he would provide full support to the newly appointed MCE, Hon Ayarba Thomas.

The meeting between Hon Ayarba Thomas and Atebubumanwura HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah was a significant step towards fostering collaboration and partnership for the development of Atebubu-Amantin Municipality. It highlighted the importance of unity and cooperation between traditional authorities and government officials in driving progress and prosperity for the people of Atebubu.
