The Ministry of Local Government has submitted Amantin District to be crafted from Atebubu-Amantin Municipality.
The Ministry has received a petition from Chiefs, Traditional Authorities, Members of Parliament, Opinion Leaders, Citizens, Municipal and District Assemblies for the creation and elevation of M/DAs, which included Amantin District in the Bono-East Region.
It’s confirmed the Ministry has constituted an Inter-Institutional Task Team constituted to undertake field assessments of the petition and make recommendations to the Honorable Minister.
