DVLA visits Atebubu for official inspection, after Ohempon’s request for office.
A team of seven officials from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) visited Atebubu for an official inspection with the aim of establishing an office for their operations in response to a request made by the Atebubu Paramount Chief, HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah. The Paramount Chief had expressed the need for a DVLA office to serve the far east corridor, and the visit was a step towards making this request a reality.

The DVLA team was welcomed by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon Ayarba Thomas and Atebubu Stool Land Secretariat (ASLS). The purpose of the visit was to confirm the processes underway to establish a DVLA office in Atebubu and its surrounding areas.
During their speech, the DVLA directorate acknowledged the request made by the Paramount Chief and assured him that they would conduct a thorough inspection of the area to assess the necessary infrastructures needed for their operations. The support of the Bono-East Regional Minister(Hon Francis Owusu Antwi), Member of Parliament(Hon Sanja Nanja), and the MCE(Hon Ayarba Thomas) was also highlighted as crucial in the establishment of the DVLA office.
Following discussions with the Traditional Authority and the Assembly, it was agreed that approval will be sought for the use of Ghana Enterprises Agency [GEA] building as a temporary office for the DVLA. The Paramount Chief, HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah, reiterated his support for providing the necessary infrastructures to facilitate the operations of the DVLA in Atebubu.
The visit of the DVLA directorate to Atebubu was a significant step towards the establishment of a DVLA office in the area. With the support of the local authorities and the commitment of the Paramount Chief, the necessary infrastructures will be put in place to ensure the smooth operation of the DVLA office in Atebubu and its environs.
