Atebubu-Amantin football stars start for Ghana vrs Togo.

Atebubu-Amantin municipality football stars, Hafiz Ibrahim and Sulemana Abdul Fatawu earned a starting role for Ghana as the Black Galaxies beat Togo 2-0 via Albert Amoah & Yakubu Issah’s goals on 3rd and 27th minutes respectively at the Stade de Kégué in Lome.

The duo exhibited a solid performance as preparations for the 2024 CHAN qualifier against Nigeria continue!

Mas Ud Dramani’s side have been preparing for the two-legged ties against eternal rivals Nigeria for a place at the CHAN tournament next year.

The first leg of the tie takes place between December 20 – 22, 2024, in Ghana, before the return leg comes off between December 27 -29, 2024, in Nigeria.

Ghana eliminated Nigeria to secure qualification to the last edition of the CHAN tournament in Algeria after a post-match penalty shootout following a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.

The winner of the two-legged tie will secure their spot in the CHAN 2024 tournament to be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania next year.

Ghana and Nigeria have a long-standing rivalry which is set to be rekindled in what is expected to be a thrilling two-legged affair.

Hafiz Ibrahim currently plays for Attram de Visser Soccer Academy in the Ghana Division One League while Sulemana Abdul Fatawu plays for Medeama Sporting Club in the Ghana Premier League.
