SENE-EAST: “Hon. Ashiangbor is our favourite,” Residents tell President Mahama

Residents of the Sene-East District of the Bono-East region have called on the president of the republic, H. E. John Dramani Mahama to appoint Hon. Ashiangbor as the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the district.

The people argued that Hon. Ashiangbor, over the years has demonstrated an exceptional leadership qualities that make him more than fit for the position as DCE.

The multitalented young man is currently the Assembly member of the Nana Abayie Electoral Area of Kajaji.

He also served the party in various capacities. The most recent is the Bono-East Regional Deputy Director, Special Duties.

His extraordinary qualities made him the choice of the people, hence, went unopposed in the District Assembly elections.

His contributions, suggestions, proposals and eloquence indicate clearly that he is development-oriented and Sene-East District will tread the path of development when he becomes the DCE.

As a member of the Assembly, and Chairman of the Education Sub-Committee, Hon. Evans Selom Ashiangbor has brought the following to the fore:

  1. Recommended strategies for monitoring the School Reading Exercise in the District;
  2. Proposed mechanisms for teacher retention in the District;
  3. Pushed for the completion of abandoned school blocks at Tabus, Abugame, Torkpenya and Madi;
  4. Suggested the construction of classroom block for St. Mary’s JHS;
  5. Proposed the construction of teacher bungalows at Asuoso.

Hon. Ashiangbor disclosed that his committee is committed to developing plans and driving policies that will promote educational outcomes in the district.

The residents believe that his tenure as DCE will bring a facelift to all the sectors of the Assembly.

They, therefore, pleaded with the president to consider the appointment of Hon. Ashiangbor as a priority if he really wants to develop Sene-East District.
