“Work To Ensure Peace in These Parts of the Country,” – Regional Minister.

The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Saibu has urged the Nawuri Professionals Association(NPA) to work assiduously to ensure peace in the Kpandai area of the Northern region.
Alhaji Saibu said this in a speech delivered in a durbar to climax the Homecoming of the young Nawuri professionals held on the 29th of December, 2023.

NPA has existed for some years now and as has been the custom they go home as a way of fostering unity among the various dialects of the Nawuris and the other tribes that coexisted amongst the Nawuris on the Nawuri lands.
It is also a means of showcasing the talents of these professionals.
The chiefs take advantage to address the young men and women while giving accounts of the successes chalked over the years.
The different cultural dances displaced by the many Nawuri dialects included: “Kaake” by the Kitares, “Kal3” by Nkanchina, “Sugudai” by Kpandai, “Igyi” by Katiejeli, “Gangan” by Balai, “Kakpancha” by Kabonwule and many others.
Spiritual cleansing and invitation of the gods(Saaru) to continue to bless the Nawuri land is the most important element of the occasion.
Nawuri most beautiful and other subsidiary activities form part of the all-important Homecoming.
