Hon Eric Owusu Addo, the Free SHS Coordinator for Bono-East Reg, who double as Assembly Member for Akomade Electoral Area has announced his intention to establish a mini-market at Akomade Electoral Area if he is re-elected in the forthcoming Assembly Member Elections.

On Free SHS Policy

Speaking about his achievements and plans for the future on Monikstv’s Close Up, Hon Eric Owusu Addo emphasized the benefits of the Free SHS Policy and highlighted the development projects he has initiated in his current term.

Hon Eric Owusu Addo, in praising the Free SHS Policy, explained that it has provided significant benefits to Ghanaian parents and their children. He highlighted the opportunities for education that have been opened up as a result of the policy, as well as the plans in place to enroll the just-completed Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in early December.

While acknowledging the existence of challenges, Hon Eric Owusu Addo described them as minor issues, such as delays in the approval of feeding budgets by the Government. He expressed confidence in the success of the policy and its positive impact on Ghanaian families.

On Assembly Member Elections.

Turning his attention to the upcoming Assembly Member Elections in 2023, Hon Eric Owusu Addo stated that he plans to continue his work. Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, he confirmed his intention to run for re-election. According to him, no Electoral Area has benefited as significantly as Akomade Electoral Area during his tenure. He attributed this success to his experience, effective networking, and ability to lobby for development projects.

Among his accomplishments, Hon Eric Owusu Addo highlighted the construction of town roads, the implementation of water and sanitation facilities, and the extension of electricity in Akomade Electoral Area. He expressed his desire to continue working on unfinished projects and bring further development to the area.
