Atebubu female footballer, Serwaa earns Ghana Women’s U-17 call up.

Atebubu female footballer, Ruth Serwaa who currently plays for Ghana Women’s Premier League side, Police Ladies FC has earned a call up to Ghana Women’s U-17, Black Maidens.
She was named among the second batch for screening, – a step to establish a formidable side to represent Ghana at the U17 level and a promotion to Ghana Women’s U-20 national team.

This is the former Kotoku Rush FC midfielder’s debut season with Police Ladies in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League 2023-24, – and has justified to expectation for this recent attention.

Ruth is following footsteps of countrywomen, Grace Asantewaa and Doris Boaduwaa who are currently playing for Ghana Women’s National Team, The Black Queens.
This is Black Maidens coach, Joe Nana Adarkwa’s first call up, and has selected one hundred and thirty-four (134) players for the first phase of screening at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

The players have been put into four different batches for a two-week screening exercise which begins on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Ruth Serwaa’s batch (2nd batch) will report on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
Each batch would train for three days, after which forty players will be selected for the second phase of the screening exercise as part of GFA’s developmental program.
