Homosex advocate, Solomon Kwabena Asante attacked over influencing Ghanaian youths.

The case of Solomon Kwabena Asante, a civil servant, businessman, and radio advocate in Ghana who has been missing for several days now, has sparked controversy and concern in the community Solomon, known for his advocacy work for youth empowerment, was accused of influencing Ghanaian youths on homosexuality, a taboo subject in the country.

The incident that led to Solomon’s disappearance occurred on April 30, when he was attacked in a pub by a gang led by Saed Mohammed. The gang accused Solomon of being involved in gayism and influencing the youth in the community. Solomon was severely beaten and had to be admitted to a hospital in the Bono-East Region for treatment.

However, the following day, Solomon mysteriously disappeared from the hospital and has not been seen since. It is believed that he may have fled to escape further attacks by Saed Mohammed’s gang, who are reportedly still after him to face the consequences of his alleged actions.

Homosexuality is a sensitive issue in Ghana, where it is not legal and is widely frowned upon by society. The accusations against Solomon have only added fuel to the fire, leading to tensions and threats of violence against him and his family.

The disappearance of Solomon Kwabena Asante highlights the need for greater protection and support for those who speak out on controversial issues, even in the face of opposition and threats.
