Nana Chunbunwura Goes Home Amidst Howls By Family And Sympathizers

The Chunbunwura of Nawuri, Nana Agyiabator I, known in private life as Vitalis Yaw Benumasen has today, 16th December, 2023 been buried amidst uncontrollable tears and wailing by the family, friends, and all who in one way or the other came across Nana Agyiabator I while he was alive.
The affable, humble, down-to-earth, and most revered chief died three weeks ago after being hit by a strange and hard-to-cure ailment that took Nana across the length and breadth of Ghana in search of a possible antidote to the plight of the respected chief.

Nana, while alive was not discriminatory: he embraced the young, middle-aged, and old irrespective of one’s racial, tribal, religious, economic, cultural, and political background.
Nana belongs to the “Srikpai” clan of Nkanchina, a dialect of the Nawuri language.
He left behind a wife and about eight children. He died at age of 54
