Nawuri Land Taken Over By the Ghana Armed Forces

About 25000 acres of Nawuri land in the Northern region has been taken over by the Ghana Armed Forces.
This parcel of land shares a boundary with the Oti region, specifically Banda in the Krachi-Nchumuru District of the Oti region.

For a reason known to them, the Nchumuru Chief of Banda, Nana Omankuminte II in collaboration with the Krachi-Wura, Nana Mprah Besemuna II sold this land to an unknown investor whose employees are all soldiers.
Surprisingly, soldiers are now field workers for an investor all dressed in the Army uniform.
The Nawuris led by the secretary of Nana Chonbonwura Agyeabator I, Mr. Francis Braimah stated that several warnings to halt the secret deal fell on deaf ears.
He indicated that their last resort would be something the mouth can not tell.
They are calling on all those involved to immediately stop any move on the land before anything happens.
Several communities feed from this land: Nawuris, Konkombas, Chorkosis, Kotokolis, Kabres, some Nchumurus, Fulanis and many others.
“The land belongs to the Nawuris and we have not sold it to anyone. Any encroachers will be dealt with,” the secretary emphasized.
