The New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary Candidate(PC) for the Krachi-Nchumuru Constituency, Hon. James Mamudu has stated that Men of God play a very vital role in our political discourse.
He said this when he met with the leaders of the Christian Council in Banda.
Hon. Mamudu added that the role of pastors, and prophets in the world of politics started since creation.
“We know the role of men of God in the world of politics. It started with creation and transcended through the inter-testamental period to date. Your role can not be de-emphasized and so I’ll not forget you when I get the power,” Hon. Mamudu emphasized.
The venerable men of God in turn quoted various verses in the Holy Book to indicate that Hon. James Mamudu is a God-sent.
They also admonished the PC and his followers to remain God-fearing and steadfast and engage in an issue-based campaign.
The former chairman of the council, Pastor Marcus disclosed that God loves those who love him as stated in 1 Corinthians 8:3.
The current chairman of the council, Pastor Bilegnan interpreted as “Mienuy3” advised the followers of Hon. Mamudu to learn from Aaron and Hur in Exodus 17:12 who held Moses’ hands until Joshua and the Israelites won the Amalekites and wholeheartedly support the Honourable man to victory.
The hope of Krachi-Nchumuru was reignited by the youngest pastor in the council when he quoted Psalms 102:13, “You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.”
