Black Stars defender Salisu Mohammed joined Save Ghana Football DEMO that happened on February 14 at Accra and Kumasi.
The demonstration was done to draw world football people’s attention to the declining state of Ghana football under the leadership of Mr Simon-Kurt Okraku as Ghana Football Association President and the Ghana government.
Netizens were shocked when Salisu posted a flyer of #Save Ghana Football DEMO on his Twitter handle, – and have reacted positively to his action.
Salisu was part of the Ghana squad, who exited from the group stage of the just ended Africa Cup of Nations 2023 tournament at Cote D’Ivoire, and currently plays for AS Monaco
Ghana has gone over 40 years without AFCON trophy, inadequate football facilities, poor maintenance of sports facilities etc are some of the agitations for the demonstration.
Celebrated sports journalists in Ghana, SWAG, key stakeholders etc masterminded the demonstration.
